First evidence of the $B_s^0\rightarrow K^-π^+γ$ decay

The first search for the $B_s^0\rightarrow K^-π^+γ$ decay in the range $796<m(K^-π^+)<1800\,\text{MeV/}c^2$ is performed using data from proton-proton collisions collected by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb$^{-1}$. The photons are reconstructed...

M-RAG: Making RAG Faster, Stronger, and More Efficient

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) has become a widely adopted paradigm for enhancing the reliability of large language models (LLMs). However, RAG systems are sensitive to retrieval strategies that rely on text chunking to construct retrieval units, which often introduce information fragmentation, retrieval noise, and reduced...

A proof of Xin-Zhang's tridiagonal determinant conjecture (extended version)

We confirm a recent conjecture of Xin and Zhang, which establishes a simple product formula for the characteristic polynomial of an $(n-1) \times (n-1)$ tridiagonal matrix $C$. This characteristic polynomial arises from a recurrence relation that enumerates $n \times n$ nonnegative integer matrices with all row and column sums equal...

On the Identifiability of Regime-Switching Models with Multi-Lag Dependencies

Identifiability is central to the interpretability of deep latent variable models, ensuring parameterisations are uniquely determined by the data-generating distribution. However, it remains underexplored for deep regime-switching time series. We develop a general theoretical framework for multi-lag Regime-Switching Models (RSMs),...

How Lorentz boosts reshape relaxation spectra

In relativity, relaxation processes are often assumed to undergo time dilation under Lorentz boosts. We show that this intuition fails generically. Due to relativity of simultaneity, Lorentz boosts can split a single relaxation mode into a continuum of excitations, with a width set by the maximal signal propagation speed. Focusing on...

A Long Tidal Feature Extending from a Low-Redshift Galaxy Revealed in Rubin Data Preview 1 Imaging

Using the Vera C. Rubin Observatory Data Preview 1 (DP1), we present the detection and photometric analysis of a stellar stream extending along the minor axis of a massive disk-galaxy, LEDA 751050, at a redshift of z = 0.1 in the Extended Chandra Deep Field-South (ECDFS). This feature appears to be an analog of the M31 Giant Stellar...

Learning to Diagnose and Correct Errors: Towards Moral Sensitivity Acquisition in Large Language Models

Moral sensitivity is the most fundamental capability underlying human moral competence. Although many approaches aim to align large language models (LLMs) with human moral values, they primarily focus on fitting the distributions of morally appropriate texts while overlooking how to enable moral sensitivity acquisition in LLMs. In...

Average gradient localisation for degenerate elliptic equations in the plane

We consider Lipschitz solutions to the possibly highly degenerate elliptic equation $ {\rm div} G(\nabla u)=0$ in $B_1\subset\mathbb{R}^2 $, for any continuous strictly monotone vector field $G \colon \mathbb{R}^2 \to \mathbb{R}^2$. We show that $u$ is either $C^1$ at $0$, or any blowup limit $v(x)=\lim \frac{u(δx)-u(0)}δ $ along a...

Revisiting Spherically Symmetric Spacetime I: Geometro-Hydrodynamics

This series of works revisits the geometry, dynamics, and covariant phase space of spherically symmetric spacetimes with the aim of exploring the thermodynamics of spacetime from their dynamical properties. In this first paper, we examine the geometry from the perspective of a foliation by spherical hypersurfaces. Using the rigging...

We investigate the structure of quantum magic in interacting disordered fermionic systems, quantifying non-stabilizerness via the fermionic stabilizer Rényi entropy (SRE). To resolve the distribution of magic across different scales, we introduce a multipartite non-local magic functional, constructed from an inclusion-exclusion...

Bare-Metal Tensor Virtualization: Overcoming the Memory Wall in Edge-AI Inference on ARM64

The deployment of Large Language Models (LLMs) on edge devices is fundamentally constrained by the "Memory Wall" the bottleneck where data movement latency outstrips arithmetic throughput. Standard inference runtimes often incur significant overhead through high-level abstractions, dynamic dispatch, and unaligned memory access...

Unifying Viscocapillary and Inertial Regimes in Selective Withdrawal

Selective withdrawal extracts only a single phase from a stratified multi-layer system. Entrainment occurs when a critical condition draws up the static layer which is not being withdrawn. Existing studies provide robust scalings within distinct limiting regimes. These include viscocapillary-dominated entrainment at low Reynolds...

AG-groups as parallelogram spaces

It is known that an AG-group is paramedial and a paramedial is a parallelogram space. From which it follows that an AG-group is a parallelogram space. In this paper we give a direct proof of this fact and study it further. Our main result is that the parallelogram space of an AG-group is again an AG-group, which particularly implies...

Listen to Rhythm, Choose Movements: Autoregressive Multimodal Dance Generation via Diffusion and Mamba with Decoupled Dance Dataset

Advances in generative models and sequence learning have greatly promoted research in dance motion generation, yet current methods still suffer from coarse semantic control and poor coherence in long sequences. In this work, we present Listen to Rhythm, Choose Movements (LRCM), a multimodal-guided diffusion framework supporting both...

Understanding Multi-Agent Reasoning with Large Language Models for Cartoon VQA

Visual Question Answering (VQA) for stylised cartoon imagery presents challenges, such as interpreting exaggerated visual abstraction and narrative-driven context, which are not adequately addressed by standard large language models (LLMs) trained on natural images. To investigate this issue, a multi-agent LLM framework is introduced,...

The winds of OBA hypergiants and luminous blue variables: Dynamically-consistent atmosphere models reveal multiple wind regimes

OBA hypergiants (OBAHGs) are evolved massive stars with notable wind features in their optical spectrum. Located at the cool edge of the line-driven wind regime, many are candidate luminous blue variables (LBVs) likely near the Eddington limit. Although brief, this evolutionary stage deeply affects their surroundings and subsequent...

Harnessing Evanescent Wave Interaction for Enhanced Optical NO2 Detection with Carbon Nanotube-Coated Side-Polished Fiber

Evanescent-wave photonic sensors employing nanomaterial-coated waveguides are commonly interpreted in terms of absorption modulation of the sensing layer. Here, we demonstrate that, in such systems, gas-induced reshaping of the guided optical mode can dominate the transduction mechanism and even reverse the sign of the optical...

Patterned Numbers: A Novel Number Classification with Structural and Quantum Algebraic Perspectives

We introduce \emph{patterned numbers}, a digit--divisor-based classification of integers motivated by recreational mathematics. A number is defined to be patterned if at least one of its positive divisors appears as a digit in its base-10 representation. We study the first hundred natural numbers under this definition, analyze...

HEXAR: a Hierarchical Explainability Architecture for Robots

As robotic systems become increasingly complex, the need for explainable decision-making becomes critical. Existing explainability approaches in robotics typically either focus on individual modules, which can be difficult to query from the perspective of high-level behaviour, or employ monolithic approaches, which do not exploit the...

A non-parametric approach for estimating the correlation between log-rank test statistics with applications to a conjunctive power calculation

We present a method for estimating the correlation between log-rank test statistics evaluating separate null hypotheses for two time-to-event endpoints. The correlation is estimated using subject-level data by a non-parametric approach based on the independent and identically distributed (iid) decomposition of the log-rank test...

Hamiltonian reductions as affine closures of cotangent bundles

Let $Y$ be an irreducible non-singular affine $G$-variety with a $2$-large action. We show that the Hamiltonian reduction $T^*Y/\!\!/\!\!/G$ is a symplectic variety with terminal singularities, isomorphic to the affine closure of $T^*Z_{\text{reg}}$ where $Z:=Y/\!/G$. Furthermore, we provide sufficient conditions for the non-existence...

Joint Encoding of KV-Cache Blocks for Scalable LLM Serving

Modern large language models (LLMs) drive interactive AI systems but are bottlenecked by the memory-heavy growth of key-value (KV) caches, which limits real-time throughput under concurrent loads. Existing KV-cache compression methods rely on rigid heuristics, disrupt tensor layouts, or require specialized compute, hindering...

Do LLMs Encode Functional Importance of Reasoning Tokens?

Large language models solve complex tasks by generating long reasoning chains, achieving higher accuracy at the cost of increased computational cost and reduced ability to isolate functionally relevant reasoning. Prior work on compact reasoning shortens such chains through probabilistic sampling, heuristics, or supervision from...
